What we collect

  • Your account details. Name, email, company, and your team's.
  • The documents you send. Contracts you forward, and the reads and positions we build from them.
  • Email between Evan and the other side. Sent from your domain, on your behalf.
  • How you use the app. What you click, never what your contracts say.

Why

  • To read your contracts and negotiate them. That is the whole product.
  • To bill you and run your account.
  • To improve Counterpart from usage, never from contract text.

Who processes it for us

How long we keep it

  • A scan is deleted after a day, unless you start a deal. See what we keep.
  • A deal is kept for as long as your account is open.
  • When you close your account, you export first, then we delete. See closing your account.

Your rights

  • Access, correct, delete or export your data. Ask any time.
  • Write to hello@trycounterpart.com.

What we do not do

  • No analytics on contract text. The log records that a clause was held, never what it said.
  • Minimal cookies. Enough to keep you signed in, nothing to track you around the web.
