Using a group

A Google Group or Microsoft distribution list at evan@yourcompany.com, with us as a member.

1. Create a group at evan@yourcompany.com.
2. Add our relay address as a member. We give it to you.
3. Allow posts from outside your organisation. Otherwise the other side's first reply bounces.
4. Turn off footers and subject tags. They break the thread.
5. Turn off reply-to rewriting. It loses track of which negotiation a reply belongs to.
6. Add yourself if you want your own copy. Most people do.
7. Add the four DNS records.

• One limitation, said plainly. A group cannot carry the marker we use to match replies exactly. If you have two live negotiations with the same person, a reply can land on the wrong one. Rare, and visible when it happens. Use forwarding if that worries you.
